Draft Background Report

The Background Report documents the current state of the community, analyzes existing conditions, and identifies key trends that will guide the General Plan Update and the city's future. The Report provides a concise and reader-friendly overview of the many topics covered in the General Plan, setting the context needed for the overall update effort.

We want to hear from you! The Background Report is now available for public review and comment. You can submit any questions, comments, or feedback on the draft Background Report by:

For the 2050 General Plan to be a success, we need your input! We’ve done our best to make it easy for you. Here’s all you have to do:

Sign up for the Project email list: Click the orange “Join Email List” button on the right side of this page.
We’ll send links to published documents and a deadline for public comments.
Use the green “Comments” button on the Project website to send us your input!
